Executive summary and vision

Every defining economic transformation begins at the intersection of untapped potential and structured institutional alignment. For years, Uganda's premier software engineers, product architects, and technology innovators have built solutions in isolation, engineering powerful digital infrastructure to address domestic and regional challenges. However, brilliant code alone cannot scale an economy without institutional backing, strategic capital allocation, and a unified market framework.

Historically, a structured technology investment culture has been absent within the domestic financial landscape, resulting in a persistent trust deficit among local capital allocators toward tech startups. Traditional wealth holders and private capital have frequently viewed the digital sector through a lens of uncertainty rather than as a mature, investable asset class.

The Code to Capital Summit 2026 is engineered to dismantle these historical barriers. By uniting a curated cohort of 100 benchmark technology brands, representing the absolute pinnacle of Uganda's digital ecosystem, alongside key figures from government, national payment infrastructure, and institutional wealth, the summit establishes a first-of-its-kind framework designed to build enduring trust and institutionalize local tech investments.

Core summit pillars and agenda

01

The collision of worlds and institutional trust-building

The core of the summit is a high-level convergence convening Uganda's top 100 tech innovators alongside commercial leaders, wealth figures, and industry veterans. Together, this assembly will directly address historical risk perceptions, formulate transparency frameworks, and define the baseline criteria required to catalyze a homegrown technology investment culture.

02

The benchmark 100 tech showcase

Departing from open-access models, the summit features a strictly curated showcase of 100 pioneering startups and scaleups spanning fintech, agritech, logistics, and enterprise software. This cohort models itself on traditional, highly trusted industries, proving that technology is a reliable, high-value asset class ready for institutional integration.

03

Cross-sector public and private dialogue

The agenda features high-level dialogues with government regulators, national payment gateway operators, and policy leaders. Founders and investors will collaborate directly with public-sector stakeholders to streamline regulatory compliance, align payment rails, and establish a frictionless environment for domestic capital deployment.

04

Strategic integration and long-term partnerships

Through structured masterclasses, closed-door roundtables, and high-impact networking sessions, the 100 official tech representatives will engage directly with market experts and capital allocators to forge sustainable economic partnerships designed to drive Uganda's digital future.
